The association

A story of passion, since 2019.

Recognised as a non-profit of general interest since 2023, Picardie Faune Sauvage was born from the desire to offer local wildlife a safe place to recover and regain its freedom.

Our mission

Rescue, treat, rehabilitate, release.

Our mission is to rescue, treat, rehabilitate and release wild animals back into their natural habitat.

We take in distressed, injured or weakened local wildlife thanks to a team of experienced caretakers and a fully dedicated network of partner vet practices.

Backed by a growing network of volunteer drivers, we do everything we can to be as responsive as possible and give every rescued animal the best possible chance.

Our story

From the first rescue to today's centre.

Six years of commitment, encounters and learning. Here are the milestones that have shaped the association.

  1. 2019

    The birth of a dream

A handful of enthusiasts came together around a simple fact: there was no wildlife rescue centre in Picardy. The association was founded.

  2. 2020

    First rescues

Despite the pandemic, the first animals were taken in at volunteers' homes. The driver network started to take shape.

  3. 2022

    A real centre

A dedicated site was built with aviaries, trained caretakers and veterinary partnerships. Intake capacity multiplied by ten.

  4. 2023

    Recognised as public-interest non-profit

The association obtained public-interest status. Donations are now 66% tax deductible (in France).

  5. Today

More than 3,000 animals cared for each year

The only rescue centre in Picardy taking in all kinds of wildlife: hedgehogs, raptors, fawns, swallows… Every year, hundreds of animals return to freedom thanks to your support.

“Passion and patience are the keys to the success of our mission.”
